Noonday Social Service Solutions is a private social work practice of Mrs Wezet Botes. Noonday aims to establish effective, cost-sensitive social work services in the Deep South.
Noonday refers to the sun's position at high noon. Symbolically it refers to being fully present and using your gifts and talents to improve society. Noonday is built around 4 core concepts that serve as the service delivery compass. These concepts are:
The ultimate goal of Noonday is to assist clients in restoring themselves, their families, and society so that they can reach the fullness of the noonday sun in their lives. Noonday provides mediation services to families in conflict to resolve disputes peacefully.
Recognising that brokenness holds us back from being fully seen. Noonday offers therapeutic services based on recognised social work modalities to clients seeking personal healing.
Noonday offers a non-judgmental, emotionally safe space to work through painful experiences and rebuild one’s sense of self without threat or victimisation.
Noonday recognises that social injustice and interpersonal level stand in the way of restoration and recovery. Taking a fearless stance for justice in the face of injustice is at the core of Noonday's forensic social work services.
About Wezet Botes
I am a dedicated and passionate social worker with over 24 years of experience in serving vulnerable children, family services, and social care systems. My career has been driven by creating a safer world where children can thrive, leveraging innovative approaches and technological solutions to bridge the gaps between government, the private sector, and communities in need.
I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work Forensic Practice from North-West University and a Social Entrepreneurship Certificate from the University of Pretoria. Over the years, I’ve held various roles, including social worker, supervisor, unit manager, and programme developer at prominent Child Protection Organisations. As a social service expert, I’ve also developed national programmes, such as the Prevention and Early Intervention Core Package of Services for Orphaned and Vulnerable Children in South Africa and authored the Case Management Standard Operating Procedures for the Department of Social Development.
With extensive experience as an expert witness, I specialise in forensic assessments of abuse allegations, court-mandated investigations for care and contact disputes, mediation, drawing up parenting plans, and developing intervention strategies for vulnerable children. I am a highly skilled therapist trained in play-therapy, narrative therapy, systems theory and trauma interventions. I have developed and presented training on numerous training programs for social service professionals and am a sought-after speaker.
